At Tahi we have always recognised a commercial value of native biodiversity and have seen carbon credits as a way of contributing toward the substantial costs of managing native biodiversity.

Current New Zealand carbon sequestion models do not recognise the full equation, so by producing a yearly carbon budget for Tahi – which is in it’s final stages of development by an independent international expert - rather than just a calculation of the segments recognised by current laws and agreements we hope to reconcile intention with actuality.

As this process is developed we will expand the website to make our calculations fully transparent, the option to buy credits will also be available – so keep visiting us and we will keep you updated.
